Now, Silent Hill creator and Bokeh Game Studio founder Keiichiro Toyama has shared his thoughts about why Tango Gameworks didn’t survive.

Tango Gameworks was founded Shinji Mikami, who made his name in the survival horror genre with Resident Evil just as Toyama established himself with Silent Hill. Mikami stayed true to his survival horror roots with Tango’s first two games, The Evil Within and The Evil Within 2. According to Toyama, the decision to branch out from that genre may have harmed Tango’s long-term prospects.

The PlayStation 2022 Wrap-Up lets anyone on PS4 or PS5 access their highlights from the past year, which includes number of games played, total hours played, number of trophies earned, and number of PlayStation Plus monthly games downloaded. These stats will continue to track through the end of 2022, so whatever figures you see today could change before the start of the new year.

Rockstar Games has released a new GTA Online update that focuses on flight, with additional rewards for soon-to-be pilots and skydivers.

Specifically, those who participate in Freemode Events and Challenges, Flight School, Stockpile, Junk Energy Skydives, The Data Leaks, and Time Trials will gain double cash and RP. Likewise, the new update gives players access to a free Pink & Green Camo Mammoth Avenger Livery just for logging in.

Sony Pictures released their 2023-2024 theatrical release schedule and announced that a new Karate Kid film was scheduled to open on June 7, 2024. Sony also delayed the Spider-Man universe films Kraven the Hunter and Madame Web.

Kraven the Hunter, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson will now be released on October 6, 2023, and was originally slated for January 2023. Meanwhile, Madame Web will now premiere on February 16, 2024, and was originally aimed for Kraven’s new release in October. An untitled film from Sony’s Marvel universe has also been shifted to July 12, 2024, from June 7. Ubisoft’s long-in-development swashbuckling pirate game Skull & Bones has leaked in a big way, with a lengthy gameplay video emerging from a technical test.

The video, posted on Streamable, begins by setting up the focus of the game, which is to become the most infamous pirate on the seas during the golden age of piracy. Players can disembark their ship at a place called Saint-Anne where they can craft new ships and equipment, collect provisions, take on contracts, and socialize with other human players, according to the video.

Developer Sloclap announced that Sifu will launch on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in March 2023. A new Arenas mode will also be included, where players can earn new rewards as they take down more and more enemies.

“Successfully completing the arenas will progressively unlock a massive new modifiers batch, which doubles the current game’s amount and notably brings alternative moves to the Kung Fu palette of our main character,” Sloclap explains to IGN. “Completing the new Arenas challenges will also unlock new cheats and exclusive new outfits.”
