Sonic Superstars is an easy recommendation if you’re a fan of Sonic’s 2D adventures. It might boast shiny, 2.5D graphics, but it’s an undeniably retro experience. You’ll speed through 11 zones as you chase down Dr. Eggman, avoid obstacles, and take down ever-more challenging enemies. Our Sonic Superstars review gave it a 7/10 for its impressive level design and gorgeous graphics, though knocked it for a handful of challenging (and tedious) boss fights.

Epic Games is the latest major game studio to enact a round of layoffs. The same day that Sega announced major cuts at Creative Assembly, Epic Games has confirmed it’s laying off about 16% of its workforce, which amounts to around 870 people. Additionally, Epic is divesting the audio platform Bandcamp and spinning off “most” of its SuperAwesome team.
250 are leaving via Epic’s divestures of Bandcamp and SuperAwesome. Epic confirmed these changes after announcing V-Bucks price increases. Epic’s Mediatonic studio, which created and runs the whimsical battle royale game Fall Guys, was impacted by the cuts, too.

It’s been so long that plenty of newer players never got to experience them, but in Fortnite’s earlier years, Epic hosted a couple massive concert events that put the more recent Creative mode musical events for Metallica, Kid Laroi, and others to shame. The Travis Scott and Ariana Grande Rift Tour shows were spectacles that Fortnite hasn’t been able to match since.
